Hyaejin is a choreographer and dancer who has dedicated her career to exploring and expressing the complexities of human emotion through movement and performance. She began her journey as an artist at a young age, dancing in the streets of Seoul and immersing herself in various forms of dance, music, and choreography.
Hyaejin's early career included her joining an orchestra in Korea as a flautist at the age of 9 and continued exploring different music and dance styles such as k-pop and hip-hop. However, she found that these mediums alone were not sufficient to fully express the emotions she wanted to convey.
In pursuit of her passion, she attended university to study fine arts, where she learned how to create theatrical and choreographic performances, while also teaching and performing. She then moved to Europe to further her understanding of contemporary dance forms, studying at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD) and collaborating with various international choreographers.
Throughout her career, she presented her own composed music and choreography performances in her spare time and was invited to participate in various projects as a dancer, but she always felt that these opportunities didn't allow her to fully express herself. Her work revolves around the theme of unity, focusing on human behavior and placing the human experience at the forefront of her performances.
